What headset do you recommend?

Postby loogee » 07 Nov 2012, 16:23

So my SteelSeries 4H just broke and I'll have to buy a new headset.

Which one do you recommend in the range of about 50-60€ ?

Oh , didn't know.
Just wanted to ask , does anybody have experience with Steelseries Siberia V2 ?
I heard some people have comfort problems with that headset. Are they less comfortable then Steelseries 4h?

Depends, for me they are very comfortable and i can wear them for dozen of hours without problem or pain.

But from what i remember, the sound quality was better with 5H and my friends are saying so 7H are even better, cant confirm it tho.

Would be best if you can test them out for few days.

i personally have the plantronic gamecom 780 headset. when it comes to sound and quality its very good. it also filters out background sounds very well. (some might say they hear my music, but thats only because i always have my music on a high volume, the headset cant filter that) but even the music is filtered quite well.

the only downside is that if i wear that thing for a longer while it starts hurting my ears a bit. but i guess that only happens to me and a small percentage of users as ive never read it in any review about this headset. on the other hand, some days ive worn it for hours without barely noticing....

its rather cheap too.

Yes, but as i said, 5H/7H does have better sound quality and virtual surround.

If you're not looking for a headset strictly for gaming, AKG are good all around pieces.
... but don't forget the Rizla.
